Berlin Food Tour
What does the Berliner eat? Not only Currywurst! Even as citizen of Berlin, it is not easy at all to find a decent restaurant serving typical food from Berlin. This tour will help you!
First we visit a Berlin market hall Wilhelminian style to taste food of farmers from Brandenburg, the region around Berlin.
After that a typical Berlin dish in an old and cosy Berlin "Wirtshaus" (restaurant) is waiting for us, together with a Berlin beer (vegetarian option!). Last not least you will be treated with homemade German cake and coffee in a pleasant café. The tour lasts 2 hours, during which you will learn all about German cuisine by a knowledgeable guide. Furthermore you will receive tips for good restaurants in town.
Price is per person and payment be made in advance.
Food and drinks are not included in the price. Please calculate to spend around 25 Euro per person for all food and drinks. Most part of the tour will be done walking. The distance between the restaurants usually is 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. If one restaurant is too far, we will use public transport. If you do not have a ticket for public transport, you can buy a single ticket which is around 3 Euro. This is not included in the tour price.
Even in bad weather the tours go ahead regardless of whether it is sunny or rainy.
Maximum size for a group is 12 people. If your group is bigger, we can provide various guides.
The tour is Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6pm, all year round. Starting point is in Kreuzberg. You will receive the exact description after booking.
