Sustainable culinary tour by bike in Biosphärenreservat Schorfheide Chorin
Tour the fascinating landscape in Biosphärenreservat Schorfheide Chorin. There is forest, fields, hills and small rural villages. You can see storks and gray herons. On the tour we will discover the beauty of the landscape and try incredible local delicacies from organic farms and farm shops.
On this organic food tour you’ll taste products like honey, milk, cheese, sausage, beer and marmalade. The tour starts every Friday from 11 am to 3 pm. Included are 3 stops at farm shops or breweries, where we will eat and drink. The start of the tour is the bike rental at Bahnhof Chorin. The price for the bike per day is 12 Euro. You can also bring your own bike of course. The tour is around 30 Kilometer and suitable for beginners.
Our first stop is the eco village Brodowin. In the eco village there are several producers of organic food. For example a fishmonger who sells fish from the ponds of the village. We will have lunch in the garden of the organic farm. We will then continue to Pehlitz to climb the hill Kleiner Rummelsberg, 80 meters high. From here we’ll take pictures of the splendid panoramic view of the landscape and the lakes. At Schwalbennest farm, an organic farm with sheep, goat and cows, we will have coffee and cake in the garden under a tree.
The tour price is 50 Euro per person, including all food and drinks. The tour has a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 12 participants.
