Roaring twenties tour
Life in Berlin in the 1920s was legendary, extravagant and outrageous – as can be seen in the TV series “Berlin Babylon”. Around 200 ballrooms lured dancing folks night after night to have fun – some hotels even had their own band. A reminder of that time is Ballhaus Berlin on Chausseestrasse, with table telephones.
The tour leads to historic places of the time, for example:
a flat, furnished in the style of the 20s, a cinema, a liquor distillery, an inn, which serves 1920s style food in an authentic atmosphere, a fashion store, a pub opened in 1923 or the house, where Marlene Dietrich was born. The tour is 3 hours and allows time for dinner a la carte in the restaurant as well as a drink at the pub.
Price is per person and payment is to be made in advance. Food, drinks, entrance fees and tickets for public transport are not included in the price. Please allow spending around 30 Euro per person for all these costs. We will catch public transport between the sights and the tours will run in any weather.
Maximum size for a group is 12 people.
Tours are run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 5pm, all year round. Meeting point is Berlin-Pankow. You will receive the exact description after booking.
